Please forgive me but I have to do a little crowing about my
daughter-in-law and new granddaughter. Isabella was born on sunday morning after 10 hours of
labor at the Birth Center of Wilmington where her mommy did so well and was
so impressive with her strength. Bella nursed before the placenta was delivered
and was a champ. She was 6-13 at birth, 6-6 on monday and is 6-12 today
(wed). Having milk stools, decreased jaundice and is bright eyed and alert. Again,
her mommy is so impressive with her desire to give this baby the best, as she
did for her son who was a preemie yet never had anything but breastmilk for
his first 9 months and is now a fabulous 4 year old.
This birth was what I would wish for every woman and I had the honor of
participating. The staff of the birth center were great and so supportive. I
just had to leave a post about it. Sherry Weersing RNC
