I want to thank Dr. Karp for sticking with us on Lactnet in spite of
the disagreements, even attacks on his approach to calming babies.
While some have respectfully taken exception to his approach, let's
face it, responses have not all been diplomatic. There have been
individuals who left this list in frustration over "attacks" on
their views.

My first response based on various comments by others on the list
was rather negative. However, largely because he has continued to
patiently explain where he's coming from, I am anxious to read the
book and plan to get a copy today when I finally have some time to
do some relaxed shopping.

So again, thanks Harvey and a gentle reminder to all of us to
"respectfully disagree" even when we feel someone is "way off base"
in what they say. I would also like to ask that we read an entire
post in context before blasting it. I have seen several instances
where a minor comment has lead to a major debate and seeming
questioning of the knowledge and even professionalism of the
poster. Certainly a remark that's minor in the context it is made
can spark a thought we'd like to share. Let's just be kind in the
way we express it.

Winnie
