Re : Metronidazole and the AAP Redbook.


Pat,  I would not reference the AAP redbook as it suggests a 24 hour
interruption for a 2 gm STAT dose, and complete cessation for at 7 or 10
days treatment regimen.

While I do not agree with the latter suggest at all, old habits are hard to
change.
