 According to Ross labs, the 1997 stats are 62.4% of all mothers in the US
 initiate bf.  That doesn't mean half of them are breastfed, but half of them
 (slightly more) at least put the baby to breast at least once.

SUPER!!!  I like this!  I am dumbfounded, but find this heartwarming!  Here I
have been fighting to get mothers to "give it a try"...maybe I should be
fighting to get them to continue!  I may initiate a survey to verify these
numbers in my clinic, and determine why they stop, What could have/would have
encouraged them to continue.
