Dear Lactnetters,

An excerpt from an article that appeared in the Friday edition
(equivalent to the US Sunday papers) of the Jerusalem Post, the English
language newspaper of Israel:

A woman who worked as a [hospital] nurse ... during the
1950's showed photographs on [TV] news ... last night that she
said were of malnourished and ill Yemenite babies she had
treated in the state's early years ...

[O]fficials ... said the babies could not be Yemenite
babies "because Yemenite children were breastfed until age two,
and their weight was generally average, while the children in
the picture look scrawny and malnourished."
