This tragedy is already being used to question breastfeeding . On a
TV show this morning a guest highlighted the story and said 'breast
is best, but maybe this mum should have been told to use a
bottle.....'

Read the story and see what you think.

I am quoted in this piece. I am reported only semi-accurately. Among
other omissions I said to the reporter that mothers with new babies
who have feeding problems or any other problems in the night can call
their community midwife - I wish he had put this in.

I also had to go off the record to tell the reporter what I thought
might have happened, despite what the coroner said. I can't really
speculate 'in public' on Lactnet.
