I have this mom's permission to post this to lactnet:

 >I'm trying to research the *logistics* of MM for age 1+, but most of
what I
 > find online is lactivism about not letting our culture force us to
wean and
 > the benefits of MM beyond age 1, etc. This is all important info,
but not
 > what I'm looking for.
 >
 > My questions are more about how much / how often-- that sort of
thing.

She has noticed a slight dip in how much she is pumping but baby has
also decreased her intake of EMM from 6 to 4 ounces per feeding. Any
advice would be very helpful.
Can we make the assumption that baby would take as much EMM as the
typical ABM fed infant of the same age? Is intake a ratio to baby's
weight at this age? Anyone have experience with this?

It takes a special kind of mom to exclusively pump long term. Most of
them make it a year and "hang up the horns" shortly thereafter.

This post made me aware that there is an educational/informational
black hole that needs to be filled. With more women exclusively
pumping long term (either by choice or necessity), these questions may
come up more frequently.
