She may have a staph breast infection. It can look like this when ducts
open up and things begin to resolve.
Not a problem for baby. His gut will take care of it. Never been known to
make baby sick.
Search the Archives for other discussions on staph infections and
jelly-like globules.

Another thought: is she using Gerber Gel Pads? Their version of hydrogel
pads?
These things are known to break up easily, stick to mom's skin, and have
been found around baby's mouth.
Hard to pick off.
Yuck.
