Connected to my previous post, in the same mom with the pancreatitis with three weeks off of the breast infant was latched for max 5-10 minutes on each side with good deep latch but mom reports pain both in the nipple and breast during feeding. Mom reports she adjust infant both lower jaw and at upper lip where there is a possible tie as well...Mom reports nipple came out round not flat after feed. Mom reports after feed pain increases to 10 on scale 0-10. Mom reports nipples are sore and red after just one feeding...

Any thoughts on whether this might be raynaud's- with a possible autoimmune link - since mom had pancreatitis develop during pregnancy, has had attack since birth, and now has new allergies popping up?

Any thoughts on how a nipple would be so sore and red after just one feeding when all was healed for 3-4 weeks prior to putting infant to breast?

Thanks again for listening.
