Hi,
I was a visiting nurse in a maternal and childheatlh program. I have seen
this mesh bag used on several young children who couldn't take any foods by
mouth, were fed through a tube inserted directly into their stomach. The
occupational therapists used the mesh bag for oral stimulation and to give
her different tastes. It worked very well in that situation. My daughter is
an occupational therapist, she has also used this in a similar situation.
For delayed children it is very helpful.
Warmly,
Roni Chastain, RN, FACCE
