My thoughts when I first read this is that this baby is trying to slow the flow down. Tongue thrusting, by putting the back of the tongue up to catch a breath, which in turn could cause the clicking. All of this would lead to painful feeds, and blebs etc. Now comes the detective work. Finding out about how well baby is transferring the milk, how supply is faring etc. Is this baby showing any signs of tracheal malacia?? Please let us know what you discover. This sounds like a wonderful learning opportunity for all of us.? Best Wishes, Sue Manore, IBCLC, LLLL
