I'd like to echo Dr. Hale's request for information on what you all hand
out as the guidlelines for milk storage and handling. I am currently
working on a review article with a Penn State researcher; I am looking at
the practical hands-on side of this question, with Lorie doing a summary of
what the research says about how the nutrients and other milk goodies are
affected by temperature and storage container. You may have heard of the
Penn State person with whom I am doing this--Lorie Ellis, PhD candidate in
Nutrition, a cowriter/researcher who has done a lot of work with Margot
Hamosh.

Part of what I wanted is what Dr. Hale has asked for so I would appreciate
it if whatever you send him, you could send to me too!! I may be writing
you, too, Tom, to see what has arrived to you!!

By the way, I do think the new edition of The Breastfeeding Answer Book has
an excellent summary of what is out there that I've read so far. Check it out.

Please send your info on what you say to moms, and which articles YOU have
found to be helpful and succinct on this issue.
