Hi everybody. I have been a subscriber now for about a month or two and I'm
absolutely addicted. I love reading all the postings. I've learned so much.

My name is Rachelle Lessen. I am a registered dietitian at Children's
Hospital in Philadelphia. I was a Nursing Mother's counselor many years ago
after the birth of my second child. I now have four children (ages 8-20) and
I nursed all of them. I plan to sit for the exam in July.

I have two questions:

1) Is there anybody out there working as a lactation consultant in a tertiary
care pediatric hospital (not a maternity hospital)?

2) Is there anybody who is working as a lactation consultant within the
Dept. of Clinical Nutrition?

I have prepared a proposal to the hospital administration to create a
position for a LC (me) within my department. If anyone has any experience
with this, please let me know.

TIA. Rachelle Lessen, R.D.
