As a pediatrician, I always love it when I see babies at conferences. In the
past 10-15 years as the number of women pediatricians has skyrocketed, the
number of babies at conferences has increased. I loved attending the
pediatric meetings in Anaheim CA about 6 years ago and seeing several young
women pediatricians nursing their babies in the back of the room. The babies
were generally well-behaved and the dads were usually around to help with
babycare. The babies also got a lot of admiring attention from the
pediatricians attending the conference. The closed-circuit room provided at
the PA-MILC conference really worked out well, I thought.
