I think it's marvellous that Darillyn & others have seen mums re-lactate/lactate when they adopt a child - if nothing else it must do wonderful things for the relationship. Unfortunately I have not personally met any adoptive mums who lactated
I know only one mum who re-lactated when her child became ill @ 18 months approx. & the boy did benefit enormously. He had already been breastfed most of his first year.
