I have a mom that is exclusively nursing her 4 month old. (second baby, has
been pregnant and/or nursing for the past 3 years). Mom has just been
diagnosed with hypercalcemia and elevated parathryoid hormone levels. One of
the meds she is on is K-Phos, and it upsets her stomach and makes her baby's
reflux worse. The doctors has talked of other meds for treatment such as
Lasix. I don't know  what (if any ) coorleation there is to her
pregnancy/lactation.  What treatments options are there. She would like to
cont. to breastfeed and treat it after she is done nursing. She is not having
any problems  at this time.  Help.......
