Hi Lactnetters,
I thought I would post this mostly for amusement but also to show that
although we have a LONG way to go, there is some improvement in the what
babies are fed these day. My mother recently gave me my baby book where she
carefully documented what I ate in the first 6 months of life. I think it
goes without saying that I was not breastfed. All foods were given on the
advice of the pediatrician.
2 weeks-all varieties of cereal twice a day
2 months-10:00 am cereal and fruit
                2:00 pm vegetables
                6:00 pm meat
                10:00 pm fruit and cereal
4 months-gave up ABM for 2 % cow's milk (!!!) plus
eggs, bacon (!!!) and cereal for b'fast and
meat and veg for lunch and dinner
6 months-fruit puddings and cottage cheese were added.

I read this and had a good laugh. Its not surprising I have a tempermental
digestive system as an adult!
