Dear Sara,

How fortunate your friend to be able to call you for information.  It is
often difficult for moms to know what is truth & what is fact.  A book
you might want to obtain is MEDICATIONS & MOTHER'S MILK by Thomas Hale.
Medela has it for less than $20.
Dr. Hale says Medroxyprogesterone is approved by the AAP for use in
breastfeeding mothers.

Phil Anderson, a pharmacist, spoke at the May LLL convention in Fremont,
CA.   One can call the 900-288-8273  for a nominal fee to receive
up-todate information on medication & breastfeeding.
