I feel like I live in an unenlightened environment. Although things are
slightly better since I started my private practice 11 years ago, I still run
into GI docs who want to take exclusively breastfed, lactose intolerant babies
off the breast and place them on lactose-free formula. Luckily, a google
search provides a very nice smorgasbord of articles on using liquid lactaid with
breastfeeding. I just did a search for "liquid lactaid breastfeeding" and
thought I would share. I am planning on sending a couple out to GI ped docs
in my area.
