Sometimes good things happen.  The WIC breastfeeding coordinator for
Palm Beach County, Lou Boyes (LLLL,IBCLC), offered encouragement and
research support for a new poster about immunizations to be displayed at
all health department offices in the county.  It lists, in very large
letters, breastfeeding as baby's first immunization, at birth, and
breastfeeding as a part of routine immunization through 18 months.  Jeri
Pigott, PBC WIC administration, developed the poster and made the
suggestion to get approval for the inclusion of breastfeeding through 18
months. It is a fabulous poster and I wanted to share my excitement
about it and express my thanks to Lou and Jeri for getting it done!
