I have been a LLL Leader for 12yrs. I took and passed the IBCLC exam in
July 97. I am strongly committed to breastfeeding and helping moms have
wonderful breastfeeding experiences while giving their babies the best
start in life and helping their own health status in the process. That
being said. I enjoy chocolate and I'm addicted (yes, addicted) to
Disney. I try not to eat nestle chocolate, quite frankly it'snot as good
as Hershey anyway :-P, but my kids will occasionally have nestle
chocolate and I don't make a big stink about it. They already think I'm
nuts with all the breastfeeding stuff I do, I just can't impose on them
another restriction they would wind up resenting. And no they would not
admire my convictions, they would just think I was crazy (many think that
anyway). We have to draw lines in life in what we are willing to change
about our lifestyles to uphold our beliefs. So I eat chocolate and I go
to Disney, I am still a breastfeeding zealot and proudly wear the title.
We are going to the conference and I for one will love being there, the
most difficult job I will have though will be actually attending sessions
with the magnetism of the parks constantly drawing me towards them.
