The first thing that pops into my mind is "you just can't account
for some people's taste!". Seriously, however, we all know people
who eat foods we might find repuslive. It is very possible that
this baby is going for the more familiar taste even though in our
opinion (have you tried to taste formula? I can't even get it past
my nose without gagging!) ebm would taste much better.
Certainly some ebm is better than none so after ruling out the
possibility of some strange taste getting into mom's milk, it might
be necessary to offer baby a mix of ebm and the formula gradually
increasing the percentage of ebm until baby accepts it.
Remember the studies where babies nursed longer after mom had taken
garlic capsules that placebo capsules? Perhaps mom could try taking
garlic capsules?

Winnie
