My husband says that he got his tongue clipped as a teenager and swears that
it grew back. He also said that it was very painful.

However, I have had 2 of my kids' tongues clipped to help with speech and
breastfeeding. One at 3 yrs (won't do that again), and one at 2 days (the
way to go).
