Apparently not one of the medical people working with this mom and babe  have 
read the AAP 2005 statement which is very clear on the need for  premature 
babies to recieve their mother's milk or some human milk. Do the peds  have a 
copy? There is a giant list of references at the end, too. Best of luck,  Niki, 
the mom is lucky to have you to assist her.
