I don't know this product in particular. You say it contains bifidobacteria,
which is the correct bacteria for an infant's gut. But, does it contain
anything else? Naturopaths I know will give bifidobacteria directly to
infants as a treatment to restore gut integrity, which the baby will need
even more if she is getting nystatin drops in their sugar base. BTW, I have
found that most of the yeast living in moms these days is highly resistant to
nystatin--this mom may want to try gentian violet. Is she doing anything else
to rid herself of the yeast? A strong immune system overcomes a yeast
infection far more easily than a weakened one.
