Dear all:

After Similac's massive recall of their powdered formula, the feeding expert section disappeared.

Just wanted to let you know that the Similac "Feeding experts" (really how can they can be called "experts is beyond comprehension) are back. The site no longer lists the "third party" who provide "lactation consultants". And they have seemingly coopted dieticians. What they should have as a disclaimer on their website is a disclaimer that you should follow the advice of a real BOARD CERTIFIED lactation consultant instead of their PRETEND lactation consultants --- which you probably only get if figure out that the "FEEDING EXPERT" is not a LACTATION CONSULTANT and the REGISTERED DIETITION may or may not have in depth training in LACTATION.

So, my caution to parents about feeding experts and lactation consultants not being regulated and looking for BOARD CERTIFIED goes back up on the NYLCA website.

Best regards,
Susan Burger
