Dear Ms. Gibbons:

Perhaps you MEANT it to be light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek, but readers
cannot see your face and thus note the twinkle in your eyes OR where you
have placed your tongue.  People who read tend to think that the writer is
serious about what they are writing and thus accept what is said as if it
were serious.  Too bad your intent was not to be taken as providing
accurate information that would have been truly helpful.
