Jaye, one thing I'd add is that she practice a sort of "switch nursing".
Gourmet baby on left breast for 12 or 24 hours, then on right for next 12 -
24 hours.  I really like the idea of nursing both at same time.  It really
jump starts mom's hormones and as you said "gourmet" baby gets benefit of
let-down.    Is mom resting, eating and drinking?  How about some herbal
remedies? I am   of the opinion that we don't take weight loss and slow
regain seriously enough.  At 2 weeks post delivery and not back to
birthweight I'd consider this a RED flag.  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
