Tricia, in answer to your question, here is one example of a feeding
bottle that is not made by a formula company or a Code violator that
requires baby use compression rather than suction to get milk:
http://www.mandyhaberman.com/haberman-feeder

As some on this list know, at one time, Mandy Haberman's Haberman Feeder
was sold by Medela. That stopped a while back, with Medela developing
its own version. Personally, I'd rather see Mandy get the business.

Hope this helps,

Tricia writes: Can someone direct me to information about feeding a baby with a cleft palate? In my hospital, we have several boxes of "cleft palate feeders" made by Mead Johnson. I would prefer to get rid of products made by formula companies. In Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple, Nancy Mohrbacher writes, "Feeding bottles are available that allow the baby with a cleft palate to use compression rather than suction to draw out the milk." Does anyone know what type of bottle this is? Where I can find it? I would like to keep some on hand that are not made by formula companies. Thank you.
