My (30 yr old) dtr had a similar dx & tx with papillary cancer going
extensively into the muscle wall & follow up tx of the radioactive iodine. It
seems to me the most significant part of the following is the first
sentence.'....gd dx...' & I'm VERY BF positive.....but the doc gives her good
prognosis WITH the prescribed tx....If a good lactation person can get an
adoptive woman to successfully treastfeed she'll be able to help this woman.
The low dose of thyroid will probably do more than reduce milk supply but the
baby probably needs her Mom for the next 18 yrs more than.....no matter how
important....breastmilk. Feel free to mail me privately if you would like
some email address re thyroid cancer or names of people that have been in a
similar spot.

<<Her doctors give her a good prognosis. My question is: if she is on a low
dose of thyroid med could this compromiseher to bring a full milk supply? Has
anyone worked with a mom with a similar situation?>>
