  While I love Ruth dearly and think calling her would be good she is not a
surgeon...
It might be worth wile contacting Susan Love.... She, though, knows NOTHING
about breastfeeding and how it works!

   If the lump is removed... the goal will be to try not to sever the
ducts.... there was a discussion on one of the lists recently where this did
happen.. md tied off the duct he severed and it was a  very big mess...
(might have been on lc... arnetta do you recall?)

    With sonogram as a guide it should be relatively easy to aspirate where
one should....

    There should be appropriate concern ANY time that you make an insision...
there WILL be scar tissue. ... would she consider another aspirtaion.. maybe
at a nother facility?
