Although this product does contain alcohol (a tincture by definition contains
the active ingredient(s) dissolved in alcohol), the amounts used (3-4 drops
per pound of mom's body weight in 1-2 ounces of water or juice, every other
hour during waking hours for the first 24-48 hours, approximately 8x/24
hours) are so small that it should not be a problem for most moms or babies,
and the benefits in increased supply should far outweigh the possible effects
of the alcohol.
I have worked with a number of moms who have used this product successfully,
and often suggest it as a food supplement with galactogogue effects.
