See archives for an earlier discussion this year of using one brand's kit on another brand of breast pump. 

Advise that you put a vacuum gauge on the business end of the pump kit and check the range and rhythm (not quite the same as cycling) before you offer this alternative to a mother. In some cases, there is insufficient vacuum. In other cases, she can get bloody nipples. 

There is some engineering behind the design of each kit and the machine it works on. Then there's the issue of moisture in the tubing that is not good for the motor at the other end - unless the user knows how to prevent damage, mold, etc.

Actually, you can use the kits.  It requires a little ingenuity, but I've used Elite 
kits on my PIS and vice a versa with no change in output.
