I have permission from the mother to ask this question and post a link to
the picture:

I received an email from a friend of mine who knows I'm studying for the
IBCLE exam. She has a purple-ish spot on her areola that resembles a
bruise. She said the spot is a hard lump, but is not uncomfortable. I've
search the archives as well as all my texts, and cannot find anything to
confirm my hunch that this is a plugged gland.

Seeing that I cannot find anything to confirm what it is, I'm at a loss as
to what she needs to do, if anyting, for this spot.

Can you help?

Thank you!
Melissa Morgan
