I can tell you that during menopause it probably is very easy to relactate.  Last year during my marathon studying prior to taking my IBCLC exam,  my breasts felt full and achey just like they did during my times lactating.  In fact I even had some letdown reflexes when looking at pictures of nursing moms during that time period.  I was having serious hot flashes and sweats at that time.  Now I seem to be past the hot flash phase and I am no longer feeling the breast fullness, etc.  Some combination of estrogen, progesteron and prolactin swings I guess.
