I hope I was not misunderstood when I said ILCA could help with the
ibclc and clc thing. Yes, KA is correct when she says only iblce can
change the pre-reqs for certification, etc. What I meant was ILCA is the
organization that represents LCs (IBCLCs) just as ANA is the org for
RNs. ILCA is working on a campaign to MARKET to the public what we are
and what we do as health care providers and part of the health care
team.
IBLCE can be a part of this too of course.
P.S. I am really not trying to start a thread on any of this - just
wanted to clarify.
