I am a general practitioner (family physician) and lactation consultant in
Melbourne, Australia. In Australia, our medical qualification is MBBS
(bachelor of medicine and surgery), not MD - which is more like a PhD. I
have been an IBCLC since 1989, and read about Lactnet in JHL (I think) and
so subscribed as soon as I connected to the 'net (?3 years ago).
