Clonazepam information:

From Briggs, milk concentrations were reported to remain constant betwen 11
and 13 ng/ml. Milk:plasma ratio was .33.

Half-life is thought to be prolonged in neonates, though no evidence of
drug accumulation after breastfeeding was found. However, persistent apnea
has been observed. and some authors suggest that serum levels of hte drug
in the baby be closely monitored for CNS depression or apnea.

Hale concurs and suggests monitoring for sleepiness.

Can this woman take an alternative medication?
