Hi All!
I am participating in a training program for postpartum doulas. I have one
hour to teach them how to support bf moms. Tall order, huh? I was thinking
of giving the basics of physiology (so they will support and understand
management such as freq nursing); management, and basic assessment skills so
they will know when to reassure mom and when to refer her to help. What else
do you think is important for this group that I can squeeze into an hour?
Thanks!
By the way, the toughest non-nurser in my experience has just taken to
the breast this past week at age 6 weeks after 4 weeks of concerted effort!
