Loni:

According to the authorities who keep these statistics in South Florida, the
incidence of food poisoning from sushi & sashimi (raw fish, one with rice and one
without) is no higher than any other type of food. I never got sick, nor was my
milk supply affected, when I ate sushi and sashimi. While pregnant, I desisted
from sushi just because it was one of those suddenly creepy foods, not for any
other reason.

The only caveat would be to stay away from those fish that the Norwegian gov't
has singled out as being perhaps not in the best interest of the mother, cooked
or uncooked. Rachel M. knows what they are.

Best,
