You caught me on my post partum statistics from the OH Lactation
Consultant Assoc. meeting!  When I type for e-mail I can't go
back and change a previously typed line.  You are right of course.
Correct numbers are 10-15% of moms will get clinical post partum
depression, maybe 1/1000 deliveries will end up with post partum
psychosis (great mood swings, rambled speech, hallucinations of
the "command" type ["kill the baby"] or delusional [baby is the
devil] type, mom is out of reality.  Both these types of moms
need treatment--one with depression may be suicidal, one with
psychosis might harm baby.
