I have also been here since the first week that Lactnet started :)
At that time it was one of the very few breastfeeding helpers' resources.
Now, of course, there are many more, but Lactnet retains its unique
"flavour."
Interesting to reflect on all the changes since then, both in breastfeeding
support and information, and in my own life. I never thought then that I
would have seven breastfed grandchildren, plus the one we lost to
stillbirth. I have now taken the exam for the last time, thank goodness. I
HATE exams! I will probably recertify this next time via CERPs, but I am
not sure how long I will continue in private practice. I have spent the
last 42 years helping babies to nurse, and would miss that dreadfully.
Many thanks to Kathleen Bruce and Kathleen Auerbach, who changed our lives
for the better!
