all i can say in defense of the injectable imitrex is that there is a risk to
everything, including a stroke if they person with a migraine doesn't get
relief. if you have extreme nausea and vomiting with migraines, the oral meds
ain't gonna do you much good. my mother is the migrainous person, and she says
the risks are well worth it. she lives alone, what are you going to do? having
lived with her and this problem all my life, i can tell that there would be a
serious risk of dehydration as well as lots of other things, if she weren't
able to treat them. someone who doesn't have nausea problems should be *glad*
they can take the oral variety, and that it only takes twenty or thirty
minutes to get relief.

i also agree that someone with this problem needs to have another adult
around. bet company managers would be laughing their heads off like crazy over
this one. "he wants to stay home with his wife for a hour or two until her
headache medicine works just beause there is a baby around?"

of course, the risks to some things aren't so bad. like breastfeeding, what is
the risk there. you might enjoy it too much? do it too long? hmmm, that's a
mystery, that one.
