Dr. Mira,
I agree, feed the baby, but could the supplement be delivered at the
breast with some kind of nursing supplementer, also called a supply
line? That is, if the baby nurses fairly well, and he seems to be
continuing to latch and nurse to some extent. Don't know if any of the
supplementers are available commercially there, or could the LC rig one
herself? Dr. Jack describes how to do so in one of his famous handouts,
I believe.
I would think it useful to try herbal or domperidone. If the pumping
hurts, maybe try hand expression post breastfeeds/supplementer. Hope
some of this is helpful.
