FU on comments from Linda and Lisa:

I am a graduate of the program that you are referring to. I am very
pleased with the quality of info that I received from them. There
were some aspects of their training that seems superior to the other
courses. But I do not pass info about their courses on to any
potential LC. I noticed several years ago that no one from that
course was sitting the exam. Someone in our state had managed a
grant to bring the course here for 3 years and paid tuition for most
of those who attended. Those people returned to their work sites,
did their homework and are confident that they will always be fully
qualified LC's. Some attend additional lactation education, but
some do not. Almost none have any intention of sitting the exam.

I don't know how this group came to this opinion. There were no
signs of it when I took the course and at least half of us there
were intending to sit the exam shortly after attending the classroom
portion of the course.

I hope that they can recognize that we need a consistent measure of competency and that
and that IBLCE is our source of that.
