Dear Lactnetters,

I have permission to post from a mom I am working with as her doula. Also,
she is going to breastfeed and we would like to get this under control prior to
birth!

Mom is 36 weeks and has had three courses of antibiotics to treat a bladder
infection that seems to get worse when on antibiotics. Microbid and cephlex
(sp?) were the two prior meds.
Concerned about cause of infection (never diagnosed) and current prescribed
meds.

nitrofurantoin macro 100mg x4/day

Dr. also prescribed one Diflucan with
'each" infection".

I don't have my copy of Hale at home, what is the info. from him re: safety
and pregnancy?

Thanks in advance.
