Assuming this comes from Stanford's website and not your own hospital's Internet Security settings, there may be a reason.
They do have several videos available commercially, but of course, people prefer "free" when they can get it. 
It's a standard theory of motivation: Make what you don't want people to do more difficult, which makes what you want them to do easier. 
If you buy the videos, the more you play them, the more value you get for your money.
Just my observation.
