Lactnetters,

I would appreciate your help in completing a survey of the C-sec rates
nationally/internationally in your community and if the mother/baby
pair is separated after the section or allowed to recover together.

What percentage of the births in your area (hospital) are via C/S versus
vaginal?

What is the deciding factor for the section ... time, convenience
(elective), or medical reason?

Is the mother/baby pair separated after the section? If so for how
long and what kind of provisions are made for breastfeeding?

Is there a difference in the breastfeeding rates among your sectioned
moms vs. vaginal deliveries?

Please respond privately and thank you for all your help in advance!

I will be happy to share my compiled information with everyone who is
interested.
