I'll just post the same comment I made on my local doula list:

> "Gross," said a third.

That is the saddest thing I've read all day.

That's where she's so so so wrong. He DOES need to see it... and his
future babies NEED him to see NOW that breasts are for feeding babies!

> It's the same reason that Ash, 41, who nursed all three of her children,

Not for long, I bet... it's a pain to have to hide to feed your baby so
women in the US with this sort of attitude usually don't continue
breastfeeding for very long, IME.

> "I don't want my son or husband to accidentally see a breast they didn't
> want to see."

Heh... I think she means that SHE didn't want them to see. Have you ever
known a man who didn't "want to see" breasts? ;)

And why is that? Because his mother thought he didn't "need" to see
breastfeeding when he was 13. Bleah.

> "Men are very visual," says Wheatley, 40, of Amarillo, Texas. "When they

... so mother and babies should hide away like they're doing something
shameful because men have not been educated about the dual purpose of the
female breast? That's so wrong-headed. How will they ever learn?

LOL!

> "Gross, I am sick of seeing a baby attached to a boob," wrote Lauren, a

Her poor baby.

Most of that article just made me heartsick. :/
