The mom I recently posted about with tubular breasts (downward pointing
nipples) just got her thyroid tested and also tested for PCOS. Lab results
normal. Baby is 9 days old and she only gets about 5cc's after a 3-hr. wait.
She is now offering the breast every 2 hours and then giving the full term
10-lb baby 2 ounces of formula and sometimes pumping afterwards as well. She
had no trouble getting pregnant and saw very minor breast changes during
pregnancy. Small amount of warmth on the 3rd day instead of usual
engorgement event. Why else would this mom not have milk?
